I’m Terry Buckman, owner and operator of Buckman Iron & Metal, Inc. here in Coplay.

The Buckman Family has been in the industrial scrap business since 1902.

Buckman Iron & Metal, a family-owned business started by my great-grandfather Charles Buckman over 125 years ago in Illinois, just welcomed my son Micah Buckman to the fold as Business Relations Manager.

We’ve been proudly serving Pennsylvanians in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and the Lehigh Valley for 27 years at this location.

We buy and recycle scrap metal of all sorts — iron and steel (so-called ferrous metals), copper, aluminum, brass, and “tin” cans, just to name a few.

We are able to pay top prices for scrap because we’ve made substantial investments in equipment and streamlined our processes to minimize overhead and maximize payout.

We have an A+ Rating from the Better Business Bureau and are grateful recipient of numerous awards from local business groups.

I drive by other scrap yards to cash in my copper and,aluminum,lite heavy and cast..at Buckman Iron & Metal… Solid operation from the time you check in…, weigh-in, unload, weight-out… Till the cash out… Very organized.. several acres of defined areas for specific Ferrous andnon-ferrous metals.. No matter where you look you’re seeing professional scrap metal processors dissecting recyclable metals.. torchcutting/ burning, grinding, stacking ,pushing , piling, processing and prepping for loading and sending the happy scrap to it’s final recycling destination.. I had a very pleasant experience with Buckman Iron and Metal. I needed to get a car towed and scrapped. They set me up with a tow company who was very prompt and professional. I am not up to date on metal recycling prices, but I felt what I received was very fair. The man working ended up cashing me out with more than I was due because the car was so light and the tow charge was almost all of what the car was worth. I will use them again if the need arises.
